not more down hill

it was a mint day today, cold but great clear weather, managed to hike up white coppice on the edge of chorley, then rode down the whole thing had to stop a few times for dog walkers, but it was about a 10min run after about a hour of walking, really was worth it, the arms felt some pain being on a hard tail, so it was just hold on and hope, trying to brake is not worth it on a frozen path as i found out, as we hit the rocky paths i was not fealling to confidient but still carried on, only found the floor about twice so not to bad. after we had some fun, we went into a small quary so i managed to get a few photos of my mate doing a few drops, then do a few shots of chorley. after that we headed over to heally nab to hit the road gap up for a bit, after a rebuild and a bit of beefing up tim was almost making it.

got a few pics, follow the link below to veiw the rest.

bradford race day

Pretty mint day today in bradford. The weather was to good, head on wind down the first straight and third straight, so it meant it was pretty hard to get a good gate and first straight, it got worst as the day went on.
my gates where feeling pretty strong for me, come first moto all crusiers where in together which meant it was pretty stacked matty glyn and me doing it 16-29, russ, rory, nigel, tank and two others doing it for 30-39 and 40+. i was expecting to be snapped by rory as he can normally snap me but i had gate one with matt in gate two, managed to get a really strong start and moved across matt, to avoid the soft stuff, got into first turn first and felt the wheels going from under me due to the loose stuff on the burm and i thought i was going to was out but managed to keep it under control and came out in first, did the 2nd straight fast, come to the 2nd turn i decided to crank it round and go for the pro, coming onto the triple on the pro after spinning alot of it, my legs where on fire, nigel just managed to get out in front and get round the last turn in 1st, i had 2 people go straight under russ doing it old school with the foot out skid and rory just doing the normal thing, so managed to get 4th in that moto, i thing matt fell off somewhere aswell for some reason.

by the time the 2nd moto came round i was shattered with only a few minute break not enough to recover so i didn't do to good in this moto, ended up with 6th i think, with matt beating me.

3rd moto and i was ready for it, didn't have a inside gate i had 4 instead with rory and nigel on the inside of me so managed to get into the first turn safley in third but had russ go under me then he slid out so i went to dodge him and matt glyn went straight into my back end and took himself off for the second time, i can't remeber what happened after that in the moto.

final time, i had gate 2, not a brilliant start but can't really remeber it all i was just trying to stay on the bike in the wind, it was so hard with head on wind when on the gate and the rain just started to come down.

managed to have a play around with my new camera in the practise, i enjoyed using it, i promised oggy that i would take some pictures of him on his new ride so i took a few, i like this one the best.
big upto to andyc to taking me and ben moss, hope the arms get better soon

A3 prints

i can now offer A3 prints at a very low rate, these are printed on quality photo paper, and are not done cheaply. i can offer these for collection at 5pounds, i am not sure about how much it will cost to post but will look into it

long time no blog

i know it ahs been along time since put anything up on here, but i have been pretty busy laterly so not really had a chance, but doesn't stop me from checking out other blogs. i just wrote this blog and i am now thinking it looks more like one of my college reports rather than a blog, oww well, people still read it. i will start to update the blog at least once a week from now on, i will kput it on my to do list with all the other stuff i have to do at home.

been riding almost every weekend since the national, and been loving it. i have either had a race or a roadtrip on nearly every sunday, then the good old gates at preston on saturday, aswell as working thursday, friday, saturday and sunday evenings.

manchester regional
great event this, pitty the weather couldn't make its mind up, i was racing against matty glyn as boota fell asleep in his van, got 1st in the first moto, then didn't get a decent warm up for the second and third moto, so i got a 2nd and a 4th. come final time i had enough time to get a decent warm up, had some monster in the break aswell, that always helps. had something like gate 4 and matt had gate 8, we where next to each other down first straight i thought he might of tried a move in the burm but no chance, i don't know why he didn't try one. but in end managed to get 1st over the line. been playing round in practise with some different lines on the last straight in practise, they where all pretty fast, i was also messing round on the 3rd straight, i was tring to jump in and jump out of the quad but could not managed to jump out, in the end i hit it a bit fast and trippled it, i was pretty happy with that even though i didn't mean to do that.

coppull
i raced at coppull at a club race on sunday, good racing but i found it hard form some reason, i had stacked motos, cal, sutty, rory and a few more people i can't remeber in the end i didn't make the A final but got into the B and had a pretty poor gate for me, i only had 2/3 gates in practice as i woke up late, poor show really. i managed to fight through to the front with peebz behind, it felt like a mint lap until i hit the last corner, i started to spin in the first turn and just pedalled as much as i could but i lost 1st place to peebz on the last jump where i was just so knacked he just managed to get past me. overall tho pretty good day, would of been better without the mud.

preston
the gates at preston have been pretty good with loads of new people turning up, its create to see so many kids getting into the sport with the help from the club with bikes and equipement. i could really do with snazel down at preston to push me a bit harder, flems great and everything but i have no chance of keeping up with him, but with snazel i might just have a chance.

goldcoast
along time ago i know but was pretty good, only the 3rd time i had ridden clipped in. every race boota just managed to take me on the first burm, after a pretty good gate and first straight, with it only being a short track anything could happen, in the final i unclipped and that was the end of it for me.

bradford, yeadon roadtrip
this roadtrip was pretty cool, the revamped yeadon track is going to awesome once the start hill is tarmaced and a few lips are added it will be ready for sessions. after we muched around for about a hour or so we went off to bradford, now this place is rad now, big jumps in the write places and small jumps in some weird places, first straight is all down hill so fast as fook, coming out of the first burm was the worlds worst small jump it was like they had just drawn round a crusier, it will cause some serious accidents if people don't jump it. coming of the 2nd turn the only line to get to is the pro which is huge, but the inside is mint, the only problem is getting to the inside line, you sort of have to cut in between the straights. last straight is good and tech, not to deep until the last two doubles which sort of drop away.

crewe evening sessions
i managed to get on these about 2 or 3 times before i went and ended up in hospital with andyc, just got out of the car and he broke is arm on the 3rd straight on his first lap, what a TOOL. he has now just got his arm out of cast but it still ain't right, be a while before he is back on the bike. it will be after christmas before another trip to crewe because of the work which is being carried, first two burms have now been tarmaced accourding to speidy reidy, first and second straight have also been resharped and second has had some major work.

ghostbikes.com
so team new, not much has been happening here, got new kits which look pretty good, white with some camo added, just waiting for the helmets to come now then it will look pretty good. going to get the bike sprayed up for next year, in white, with white hubs and rims, them blue decals of a white frame hopefully, should look pretty sweet, need to get my park frame painted first so thinking of powder coating just to get it done quick and out of the way.
